My Favourite Batch 54- A Small Story
By Avisake Mitra
As a faculty at IDCM, teaching
digital marketing and web development has always been more than just a
profession for me — it's a calling. But every now and then, a particular batch
comes along that leaves a mark on your heart. For me, that batch was Batch 54.
They weren’t just my students.
They became my family like my own little sisters and brothers, each with their
own spark, struggles, and spirit. From day one, there was something different
about them. They were curious, yes. But more than that, they were kind. United.
Resilient. They laughed together, supported each other, and welcomed me into
their circle not just as a teacher, but as a mentor, a guide, and a friend.
Our journey together was not
an easy one. There were moments of confusion, frustration, even self-doubt.
Deadlines felt tight, concepts seemed complex, and sometimes the future looked
a little blurry. But despite it all, we made it — almost. What made the
difference wasn't just hard work. It was heart.
There were days when I was
tough on them, and nights when I stayed up thinking of how better I could
explain a concept or motivate someone falling behind. Because their success
wasn’t optional for me — it was personal. I made a silent promise to myself: “I
will stand by them until they make it in life.” That promise still holds true.
To Batch 54, I want you to
know this: you’ve made me prouder than words can capture. I’ve watched you
grow, evolve, and challenge your own limits. Whether you remember every lesson
I taught or not, I hope you’ll always remember this — I believe in you. And no
matter where life takes you, I’ll always be just one message away.
You will always be my
favourite, and I hope I’ll always be remembered as more than just a faculty —
but as someone who truly cared.
